Escape

Sometimes, people need an escape of their everyday world — something to take their mind off reality but also make you aware. My escape is music. 

My favorite album, is “Pray 4 Love (Deluxe)” by Rod Wave. Rod Wave is a singer and song writer. He rose to frame and was noticed from his single, “Heart on Ice.” The single was number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. His album falls under these genres; Hip-Hop, Trap Music, and R&B. Rod Wave is an artist that writes about his childhood and his trials with love. This generation fights a war with love everyday, which is why Rod has such a huge fan base with young teenagers and adults.

“Letter from Houston” is my favorite song on the album. This song is about his love for this girl. He is telling how he feels about her and how he would give everything he has for her love. This song hyped his female audiences up because it helped them with knowing their worth and knowing there is still good guys out there.

This album and the rest of Rod’s song are very soul touching. It’s an escape because it helps with calming your mentality, but it also doesn’t let you forget about reality. It shows you that although it’s hard, you can get through it. Everybody can use an escape.
