Heading into this game, the Golden Eagles wear 1-3. While the Kenwood Knights were 1-4. Both teams needed a win that night, but only one came out on top. 

1st Quarter

The Golden Eagles had the first possession. Things were not going so well, but a 22-yard run play saved us from getting a 4th down. The next play, Kade Cunningham threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Kendal Trice. The student section, band, and cheerleaders wear all cheering. You could even hear the crowd getting pumped up as well. The Knight’s offense was not there. The Golden Eagle defense read every play, executed their assignments, and made the nights punt the ball. While punting the ball, the golden eagles blocked it and managed to get inside the red zone all over again. On the 7-yardline, the Eagles ran the ball once again. Jayden Harper managed to ram through the defensive line for another Golden Eagle touchdown, making the score 12-0. 

2nd Quarter 

The Golden Eagles were running through the Knights. At the start of the 2nd quarter, Kade threw another touchdown pass making the score 18-0. the golden eagle defense was still unstoppable, holding the Knights scoreless. Kade threw another pass to Jake Preston, which lead the Eagles to another touchdown, making the score 24-0. The Eagle defense slipped up, allowing the knights to score, making the game 24-7. 

3rd Quarter

The Eagles came out rolling in the second half. They scored again making the score 32-7. At this point in the game, fans knew the eagles wear going to win. The Knights scored again, making the score 32-14. The Eagles’ offense made up for it by scoring another touchdown, making the score 39-14. 

4th Quarter

The Eagles calmed down on the touchdowns, but they did score once more, making the score 45-14. By this point, all the underclassmen got their time to shine Friday night. They held up to their expectations by holding the Knights scoreless.
